Comfortable Holiday Accommodation located close to Alston in the stunning North Pennines
The charm and character of this 300 year old former bastle house has been retained and the history of the building is still evident. The attached 2 bedroom barn conversion offers warm and comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location, perfect for both relaxing and walking. All the rooms have spectacular views over the lovely South Tyne valley. There is an abundance of wildlife all around including red squirrels.
The open plan ground floor is light and airy and comprises a well equipped kitchen diner and a cosy lounge, which is the ideal place to settle down with a book, play a game of cards or just chill out in front of the TV. A selection of books, games and DVDs are available for your use.
There are two good sized double rooms, both with their own en-suite bathrooms. One of the rooms can be set up as either a king size bed or two singles.
Outside is a patio area with table and chairs and a BBQ, and a variety of outdoor games are available, e.g. Jenga, swingball. The surrounding gardens have wonderful views and we are surrounded by meadows, often with sheep and lambs in them.
In the adjoining undercroft there are laundry facilities for your use (washing machine and tumble dryer; washing capsules provided).
